Leslie Everett, MD
Dr. Everett is an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the OHSU Casey Eye Institute within the Ophthalmic Genetics and Retina Divisions. She also holds a joint appointment in the Department of Molecular and Medical Genetics within the OHSU School of Medicine. Her clinical and basic research interests focus on inherited retinal diseases, genetic disorders of retinal vascular development, retinal vascular imaging, and novel gene therapy approaches for the treatment of inherited retinal diseases. She is the Primary Investigator or co-Investigator on 22 current ophthalmic genetics interventional clinical trials or natural history studies. She completed medical school and graduate degree training in Human Genetics at the University of Michigan Medical School as part of the NIH-funded Medical Scientist Training Program (MD/PhD), and prior to that completed an M.Phil in Epidemiology at the University of Cambridge as a Gates Cambridge Scholar. Dr. Everett completed her ophthalmology residency at the University of California, San Francisco, and then returned to the University of Michigan Kellogg Eye Center for a Medical Retina Fellowship.
