Mina Massaro,  MD, 

Dr  Mina Massaro-Giordano is an internationally known board certified Ophthalmologist and  Professor at the Perelman School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania, Scheie Eye Institute.  She attended Temple Medical School and completed her residency training at the University of Pennsylvania and was appointed Chief Resident in her final year.  She joined the faculty and established the Penn Dry Eye and Ocular Surface center where she cares for a myriad of patients with Ocular Surface Disease. In particular, patients with Sjogren’s Disease, Graft vs Host Disease and Corneal Neuropathic pain. 

 Dr Massaro was elected by her peers to the Academy of Master Clinicians which is the highest clinical honor for a Penn Medicine physician. She presents and teaches at numerous courses and international meetings and has authored several peer-reviewed articles dealing with ocular epithelial surface changes and played a pivotal role in the FDA approval of Nerve Growth Factor eye drops used to treat Neurotrophic Keratitis.
